Job Responsibilities
Midlands Technical College is a public, multi-campus, two-year public college serving the primary region of Richland, Lexington and Fairfield counties of South Carolina that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. This position is located on the Northeast Campus in the department of Corporate and Continuing Education.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Computer Information Technology degree or related discipline, along with computer training and project management experience, is preferred, coupled with a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. However, relevant experience may be accepted as a substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Computer information technology degree or related discipline, Management Information Systems, or related field combined with three (3) years of relevant experience and project coordination and execution, including Hands-On exposure to computer hardware and software into an implementation project s complemented by a project management professional (PMP certification. Alternatively, candidate holding an appropriate associate’s degree a company by five (5) years of extensive practical experience in IT project management, covering various aspects of Technology development, they also qualify.

- Conducts lectures, leads class discussions, or engages students in suitable learning activities; equips students with course materials; exhibits effective interpersonal skills; connects instruction and materials to course objectives; employs examples and illustrations; assesses and responds to students' written assignments. Formulates courses and curricula as required; updates existing courses; drafts syllabi; takes part in developing and revising instructional materials; stays current in the field; evaluates efficacy of assigned courses. Employee will assist in student academic advising efforts.
- Participates in college committees and performs public service on behalf of the college. Professional Development: Invests in honing professional and personal competencies to strengthen expertise in the subject matter, thereby reinforcing the currency and relevance of our curriculum and securing student success. Engages in continual skill enhancement through various avenues, such as attending seminars, workshops, and conferences, embracing emerging trends, publishing research findings, and sharing insights with fellow educators. Remains proactive in acquiring new knowledge and expanding teaching methodologies, certifications, and holding a current Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certificate, resulting in improved instruction and elevated student achievement. Employee organizes classroom, maintains office hours, submits reports and records promptly.
