Job Title: Manufacturing technician

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 11 Months

Job Description: This role involves executing manufacturing operations on site while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Tasks must be completed promptly with a strong emphasis on safety. Collaboration with various departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality Assurance is essential to support daily operational activities. The role also entails consulting with management to resolve quality, production, and efficiency issues, as well as contributing to special projects and quality management system improvements.

Shift Schedule: Initially, the schedule is Monday to Friday, 4:30 AM - 1 PM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Manufacturing biologically derived medical devices in a clean room environment, adhering to dress code requirements.
• Completing documentation accurately and adhering to GDP GSOP requirements.
• Maintaining compliance with cGMP/ISO systems.
• Following batch processing procedures and forms.
• Operating processing inspection equipment.
• Managing material inventories.
• Participating in process improvement and validation activities.
• Completing training requirements on time.
• Conducting general cleaning of clean rooms and manufacturing spaces.
• Performing general maintenance tasks as required.
• Comfortably working with animal tissue (skin and/or biological fluid).
• Emphasizing safety in all tasks, adhering to a ZERO tolerance policy.
• Following SOPs, Work Instructions, and company policies at all times.
• Using provided PPE, manufacturing equipment, chemicals, and other equipment safely and responsibly.
• Maintaining good attendance and scheduled work hours.
• Working effectively in teams and assisting with additional tasks as needed.
• Possessing good vision and the ability to read measurement instrumentation for inspection.
• Safely lifting and placing items weighing up to 50-60 lbs.
• Demonstrating computer literacy in Word, Excel, etc.
  
  

Desired Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years of experience.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Reliable transportation.
  
  

Tools and Equipment Used: Lyophilizers (freeze dryers), pH meters, thermometers, balances (scales), sonicators, mixers, drop indicator, slicer machines, scalpels, temperature recorders, sealing machines.
