Role: Production Worker
Location: Casa Grande, AZ
Duration: 10 Months (Possibility of extension)
Shift timings: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
Job Description
The Production Specialist is responsible for all tasks associated with retort or aseptically
sterilizing, filling and sealing of Infant and Medical Nutritionals.
Functions include, but are not limited to, the operation of all related filling, processing and sterilizing equipment and sampling responsibilities.
The operator will also be responsible for safety, general housekeeping and team support.
Operators may also be required to operate finishing equipment (depalletizer, labeller, case packer, capper, etc.).
Main Responsibilities
Reacts and takes corrective action to any and all deviations
Monitors charts and performs tests to assure sterility
Operates CIP/SIP processor/filling equipment including hookups
Responsible for the accurate completion of the work order and other documentation
Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Monitors and evaluates hydrogen peroxide levels throughout the filler, making necessary adjustments
Effectively communicates within the department and plant with all levels of employees
Reviews and performs calculations for work orders and charts
Does PMs such as oil, grease and minor machine and process adjustments
Responsible for maintaining and replenishing production materials
Completes general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
Responsible for maintaining accurate records on all inventories
Accountable for accurate documentation of work orders, production reports, etc., under their area of responsibility
Accountable for maintaining the cleanliness of the work area
Accountable for complying with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA and Abbott
Nutrition regulations, policies, procedures or guidelines
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience/Skills
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals
One-year production experience required
Must be able to work effectively within a team environment
Must possess excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
Must be able to read and understand process and instrumentation diagram prints/schematics, understand process and principles of heat sealing, diagnose/troubleshoot problems of both mechanical and electrical nature, understand the principles of fluid flow and temperature control and the effects on product integrity and understand basic principles of cam and the ability to troubleshoot)
