Atalco is the leading producer of Alumina in the United States. Our Gramercy refinery produces 1.2 million tons a year of smelter grade alumina (SGA) for the production of aluminum as well as chemical grade alumina (CGA) which is used in a wide array of industrial applications.
We are currently seeking a Production Unit Manager for our Gramercy, Louisiana refinery.
Basic Purpose
With some direction from Plant Manager, plan for and manage day-to-day productivity of assigned unit of the Atalco manufacturing operation.
Ensure safe, efficient, cost effective operations that achieve planned objectives with minimal impact to the environment. Education/Training Requirements:
Requirements
Bachelor level degree preferred (or equivalent experience) plus 10 years of manufacturing supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing operation are required. A minimum of a high school diploma/GED is required. A TWIC card is required.
Supervision Responsibilities
Combination of Supervisors, Engineers, and Hourly Operators are required to staff assigned segments of the manufacturing process.
