The Production Team Technical Manager will be responsible for planning and coordinating the inventory, labor and transportation needs for the smooth operations of the rental projects. Creating strong client relationships for all projects managed.
Your day will look like this:
Work with sales team to evaluate client needs for given project.
Advise management regarding new technology and custom design according to client needs.
Create list of material for the project scope; work with internal teams to input all data or suitable substitutions into Solotech inventory systems.
Utilize R2 and power bi to assist sales representative on financial data and quoting process.
Coordinate with internal teams, coordination, transport, customs with paperwork, equipment specifications, drawings and calculations.
Oversee team assigned to the event by handling scheduling and assignment of duties of the employees, crew, and equipment
Manage the budget of the project including any changes
Work with the R&D team evaluating projects, new products and company technologies.
Advise sales teams and management on 360 projects.
Process purchasing as required, working with procurement and finance as needed.
Work closely with internal and external clients giving a high-level of customer service
Ensure health and safety on the sites via training and awareness.
Follow job from inception to completion including post job summaries.
Execute all other related tasks necessary to fulfil this position.
Assisting with Solotech internal operations when needed
Your profile:
High school degree or GED
A minimum of 10 years’ experience as project manager
10 years’ experience in live events with sound, lighting, rigging, video, and audio
Thorough technical knowledge of the audiovisual sector (audio, sound, lighting, rigging and video).
Basic knowledge of drawing software; Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD
Proficient in Office365
Able to travel frequently overnight to go to clients and events’ sites
Able to work according to a flexible schedule
Availability during the days, evenings and weekends and statutory holidays depending on the ongoing project
Ability to manage people
Strong capacity to work with schedules and manage stress
Good analysis skills
Show thoroughness and attention to detail
Highly developed organizational skills
Strong inter-personal and relationship skills
Highly developed listening skills
Strong customer-oriented skiils
