This exempt full-time position will be a key contributor to our company’s Procurement & Supply Chain Department! Our company is located approximately 50 miles southeast of the Greater Cincinnati metro area.


The Production & Supply Planner will be responsible for scheduling and capacity planning against customer demand and forecast. In addition, the role is responsible for direct materials procurement, working closely with suppliers to ensure supply continuity and address supply issues in real time by managing potential shortages, expedited production needs and schedule changes.


Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review requisitions and execute planned orders for materials.
  • Plan, process, and maintain purchase orders to meet business requirements.
  • Review capacity planning and create production schedules
  • Sequences work orders to maximize production efficiencies.
  • Maintains open work orders and closes completed work orders.
  • Works closely with customer service, sales, procurement, production and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery to customers and proactive communication
  • Monitor material or finished good shortages and expedite as necessary.
  • Follow up on open orders and ensure on time delivery.
  • Record and track supplier non-conformance.
  • Process returns for non-conforming materials and expedite replacements as necessary.
  • Assist with the establishment of supplier managed, Kanban, or consignment inventories.
  • Verify and approve invoices. Resolve any invoice discrepancies with the accounts payable team.
  • Investigate and provide accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Adherence to company stated policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Experience:

  • Associates degree in business or at least 2 years of manufacturing experience in scheduling, procurement or similar supply chain function
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • Customer focused with strong attention to detail.
  • Team oriented and collaborative individual.
  • Able to speak, read and write in English.
