Job Purpose
At Elite Metal Finishing, LLC., the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of production and operations employees, such as anodizing, chemical processing, packing, and racking. This(ese) individual(s) must have excellent analytical and technical skills, coupled with the ability to manage, and mentor others effectively.
The Production Supervisor supports Elite Metal Finishing quality initiatives, which includes Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Enforce safety regulations.
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates, resources, and outputs.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Confer with other supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as painters, maskers, and inspectors.
Conduct employee training in work processes and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
Evaluate employee performance.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
Determine standards and production goals based on company policies, labor availability, and workloads.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
Recommend personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, promotions, or corrective actions.
Plan and develop new production processes.
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
High school diploma/ equivalent or work experience accepted
Some college preferred
Work experience as a Production Supervisor, 5 years minimum
Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work overtime, and Saturdays as required
Ability to read blueprints
Bilingual – English / Spanish – helpful

Carry, lift, move, transport, position, install, remove, parts up to 40 pounds above and below waist level.
