Production Supervisor (3rd Shift)

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will plan, direct, and coordinate the production activities of their shift. The primary responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include directing job assignments and providing leadership to the production staff. Manage production resources for a high volume manufacturing operation. Maintain high level of order fulfillment, good quality, and operate in safe conditions. The Production Supervisor is accountable for inspiring, training, and developing their team to achieve optimum safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability.



Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and execution of production KPIs and the ability to communicate the KPIs to production staff.
  • Evaluate and provide timely feedback on employee performance, holding team members accountable.
  • Motivate and develop a cohesive production team.
  • Maintain production and attendance records, while understanding schedules and priorities.
  • Make timely decisions to maintain production output and be able to quickly analyze situations and provide direction to production staff.
  • Shift supervision coverage for other departments.



Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • Production experience in a supervisory capacity required, ideally in FMCG industry
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Strong hands-on supervisory skills, overseeing production teams of 50+, including a mix of direct and temp (this person will manage ~70 employees). Ability to coach employees and manage conflicts
  • ERP experience required (SAP preferred). Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of KPI management and analytics, while being able to communicate to the team and hold them accountable
  • Lean Manufacturing (or similar process) skills, with proven ability to lead and drive this type of program in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and able to put ideas into tangible form.
  • Ability to interact well with all levels of the organization. Excellent communication skills with very strong interpersonal abilities.
