FULL DESCRIPTION: The Production Supervisor is a leadership role which works in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager to direct, coordinate, and oversee manufacturing and distribution operations of a small but diverse production facility. This individual supervises production, and shipping functions of the company. The supervisor also has a daily interface with other aspects of the business and with the Warehouse Manager and the division head. The production supervisor will ensure product quality, while also improving efficiencies in labor, materials, and delivery time to customers. Cultivating a positive work culture and safe environment for the team they supervises, is a critical piece to the company's success.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Applies and enforces manufacturing and production procedures with the team.
Oversee production and distribution operations.
Oversee Quality Control and implementing and ensuring standards.
Ensure proper use of equipment.
Project management; structuring timelines for projects and deliverables.
Implement systems to continuously improve product and service quality as well as operational effectiveness and efficiency and overall productivity.
Support hiring and termination process for direct reports.
Assist with the annual performance reviews for each team member.
Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures.
Utilize KPIs to monitor, adjust and optimize warehouse team performance.
Supervise and lead the team to achieve their goals and carry out operational strategies, through effective communication, coaching and training.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
Assurance that warehouse/production/shipping areas are maintained in an organized, clean, sanitary status with emphasis on safety and meeting company standards.
Confers with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
Create s objectives each day (production board) week, and month for your team.
Shares information with team members and ensures daily meetings with the team.
Confer with others to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Ensures compliance with environmental safety instructions within the team.
Ensures the wearing of PPE.
Interface with Warehouse Manager to address safety issues.
Integrate, demonstrate equipment operations, work, and safety procedures to new employees or assign experienced employees to workers for training.
The selected candidate will also possess:
3 years of supervisory experience and successful operations in multi-product manufacturing and distribution environments.
Effective project management to meet timelines and goals
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
High degree of initiative, strong problem solving, systems implementation, creativity and decision-making skills.
Some proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel.
Proven effectiveness in leading and managing others for team success.
Experience in Shipping and Distribution logistics.
Management of Production Personnel - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
Instructing - Teaching others how to do the process.
Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organization to make improvements or take corrective action.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
College- 2 years preferred.
Fork Lift Certification.
Salary Range: $30-$35/hr
