Production Planning Manager

We have partnered with a Global Leader in the Fluid Sealing Industry. Due to current expansion, we are seeking a Production Planning Manager. This role requires close partnerships to facilitate cross functional needs in raw materials, manufacturing, and finished products. The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations. This role will create weekly schedules, manage work orders, and lead problem solving efforts for planning issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Create production schedules with manufacturing to maximize capacity and coordinate component deliveries • Communicate confidently with customer service, sales, purchasing, operations and the shop floor regarding planning goals and direction

• Works with customer service team to identify priorities and reconcile schedule effects with production manufacturing manager • Develop corrective action for planning issues in conjunction with Plant/Quality Management

• Mentors, trains, and provides supports to the planning team • Collaborates with peers to identify and implement best practices

• Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities • Provide inputs to procurement regarding sourcing of components Key Requirements

• Understanding of ERP systems

• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft)

• Good understanding of performance metrics

• Proven experience in planning multistage operations

• Experience leading cross-functional teams

• Demonstrates problem-solving skills

• Detail orientated with strong follow through skills – able to organize and prioritize multiple projects • Good persuasive, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced cross functional environment UTX-HRR-F-02 Rev A 2 Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent education and experience

• Progressive experience within production planning and/or supply chain

• CPIM Certification a plus • Understanding of S&OP a plus
