We are seeking a talented Production & Planning Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.


Job Description


As the Production & Planning Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing our additive manufacturing production processes. This role is based on a salary-exempt employment model and is located in Houston, TX.


Key Responsibilities


Establish Procedures:


  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine procedures to improve efficiency and product quality.


Drive QA/QC Process:


  • Implement and oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.


Inventory Management:


  • Maintain sufficient inventory levels for production needs.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to forecast production requirements and coordinate timely replenishment of materials.


Production Scheduling:


  • Manage the job log and production scheduling using planning software to optimize workflow and meet delivery expectations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient use of resources and equipment.


Team Leadership:


  • Provide leadership and guidance to production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and ensure a high level of proficiency in their roles.


Qualifications


  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and inspire the production team.
  • Experience: Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or additive manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of additive manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in SolidWorks and planning software such as Microsoft Project is highly desirable.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Quality Management: Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, perform under tight deadlines, and remain process-oriented.
