Production Packer is responsible for ensuring production materials are sorted, verified and located to appropriate staging station.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Executes packaging operations efficiently and accurately according to established procedures and safety guidelines. This includes assembling, filing, labeling and sealing production containers.
Ensuring product quality is a crucial responsibility. Packagers must inspect products for defects, damaged packaging, or deviations from specifications.
Responsible for promptly reporting any issues to supervisors or quality control staff.
Responsible for participating in periodic inventory counts and notifying supervisors when supplies are running low.
Accurately maintains records and ensures traceability by completing production logs, batch records, or other documentation related to packaging activities.
Responsible for communicating and elevating any quality and food safety concerns to site to supervisor and/or management.
Expected to meet production targets and deadlines, including downtime, optimizing packaging processes, and identifying opportunities for productivity improvements.
Adheres to safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Scope
No supervisory or managerial responsibility.
Normal responsibilities associated with monitoring and reporting everyday expenses.
Required Qualifications
Education
High School diploma or GED
Experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment is not required; however, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, And Capabilities
General knowledge of machine operations, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing
General knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements as well as safety and risk standards within a manufacturing environment
General knowledge of cGMP systems for liquid and powder to secure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes.
General knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles
Able to read and interpret written information.
Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Generally, the work environment is that of a manufacturing plant, specifically one that manufactures food products.
May be required to work weekends, nights, or holidays as a regular part of the job.
