Reports To: General Manager

Designation: Non-exempt full-time salary with benefits

Salary: $65,000 -$80,000

Work Model: Hybrid (1 day remote)


Position Summary:


The Production Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of all production-related events and operations at L’Alliance. The Production Manager directly interfaces with multiple internal departments. These departments include Programming, Events and Rentals, Development, Marketing, Language Center, Operations, and Executive Office. These departments produce various events throughout the year that require specific production needs.


The ability to manage a crew and work with performers, clients and department heads in a calm and professional manner during stressful situations is crucial. The ability to be a team player and a strong leader simultaneously is essential. Must be able to work some nights and weekends depending on the production schedule.


Responsibilities & Duties (include but are not limited to):


  • Supervise load-in, run-of-show and load-out operations. Create a safe working environment during productions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all production related events and operations.
  • Interface with other departments to assess production-related needs.
  • Create budget forecasts for upcoming Programming events.
  • Assist with determining production related budgets across all applicable departments.
  • Contact vendors for rental equipment needs. Create a lasting network of vendors.
  • Delegate tasks to Associate Production Manager and Technical Crew as needed.
  • Utilize Technical Crew to assist in Sound, Video, Lighting and Scenery related queries from clients.
  • Book freelance technicians for all events and operations and needed.
  • Maintain safe and functional environments in all performance spaces.
  • Utilize Technical Crew for maintaining all technical equipment.
  • Maintain crew calendar and approve payroll.
  • Utilize various tools for budget and information tracking (Microsoft 360, Google Suite).
  • Responds to building requests as they relate to live event technology.
  • Keep accurate and concise records of all events.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with Events and Rentals, Programming and Operations.
  • Facilitate A/V needs for monthly Team Meetings and Board Meetings.
  • Maintain a stock of all theatrical expendables (Gaff tape, lamps, tie line, first aid, etc).
  • Book technical crew to supervise weekly clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Production / Technical Management required.
  • Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 required.
