Production Engineer

Job Description:

A San Antonio based E&P Oil & Gas company are on the look out for a production engineer to join the team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong production engineering background with around 5 years experience and a proven track record of improving production efficiency through innovative artificial lift solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize artificial lift systems to enhance production efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze well performance data to identify and resolve production issues.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize oil and gas recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including geologists, reservoir engineers, and field operators.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of artificial lift failures.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in production engineering, specifically with artificial lift systems.
• Strong knowledge of various artificial lift methods including ESP, rod lift, gas lift, and others.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
