Position Summary
We're seeking a full-time Production Coordinator for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. The Merchandise Production Coordinator will be working on our Women’s Apparel Studio team. The Merchandise Production Coordinator responsibilities will be identifying suppliers, collaborate with cross function teams, market research fashion trends, connect with vendors for goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the purchasing manager to facilitate the smooth operation of the purchasing department.
- Assist in overseeing both pre-production and post-production processes.
- Contribute to managing quality control assessments and coordinating with product development and creative teams.
- Conduct vendor research and selection to optimize profitability, reduce operating costs, and improve efficiency.
- Maintain regular communication with overseas offices and vendors to track development and production statuses.
- Foster positive relationships with vendors while supervising their activities and reviewing purchasing agreements.
- Utilize quarterly and annual data to assess purchasing needs and manage inventory effectively.
- Manage purchase orders, oversee shipping schedules, and maintain accurate purchase records.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to reconcile deliveries with purchase orders and address discrepancies.
- Continuously conduct market research to identify advantageous purchase agreements and potential new vendors.
- Organize samples and assist in preparing for photoshoots.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Women's Retail/E-Commerce buying/production.
- Fluency in Chinese is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fabrics, fashion trends, and market dynamics.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to adhere to budget constraints.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, independent, and a team player.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Willingness to travel twice a year to New York and Las Vegas.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude, proactive problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Pay
$20.19 min. - $27.12 max hourly.
