Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent Tier 1 supplier in the automotive industry in the McCalla, AL area, is seeking a Production Control and Logistics Manager to join their team!

Production Control And Logistics Manager Job Details

• Pay Range: $90-$100k+ Based on Experience
• Location: McCalla, AL
• Act as the primary contact for the customer’s production plan, monitoring changes and irregular orders
• Adjust production plans as needed and maintain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes
• Maintain production information and work order processes in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
• Develop and maintain logistics plans and systems, including transportation routes, packaging design, and logistics equipment
• Oversee the logistics layout of the plant, including stock levels, locations, logistics flow, and replenishment methods
• Ensure shipping containers are delivered on time and manage emergency transportation
• Prepare inventory control procedures, coordinate window times, and manage inbound logistics schedules
• Maintain and improve logistics systems, including MES, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and SC-Portals
• Create and maintain reports on production and logistics metrics, including stock levels, costs, downtime, and shortages
• Serve as the initial contact for customer EC, including BOM
• Create and manage part numbers and maintain BOM in SAP/MES
• Track material consumption, maintain the Master Part List, and coordinate EC implementations with all departments
• Manage EC part changes and participate in EC meetings
• Direct all warehouse staff, including training, attendance, and performance evaluations
• Manage work schedules, team member overtime, and conduct safety meetings
• Provide counseling and discipline as per company policies
  
  

Production Control And Logistics Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent industry-specific experience
• Eight years of experience in JIS production control in the automotive industry
• Three years of supervisory experience
• Detailed knowledge of logistics, production planning, BOM, and EC processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
• Experience in automotive assembly/manufacturing logistics
• Working experience with automotive manufacturers
• Ability to use CAD and CATIA programs
• Plant start-up experience
• Ability to communicate with EU counterparts about supply chain and cost
• Korean language skills for communication with headquarters
  
  

Working Conditions

• 70% in office environment, 30% in production environment
• Travel to customer and suppliers as needed
• Weekend overtime to support inventory audits and as needed to accomplish business objectives
