This is a multi-functional and potential growth position within the TBN Production Department. This opportunity is based in the Nashville facility, but also provides production support for TBN Remote Productions and/or TBN Studios (in other locations) as needed.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will provide production support services as assigned by the Production Manager, Production Coordinator and/or Remote/Network Production Coordinator. This person is expected to participate in all Nashville productions in an assigned role/function as determined by the Production Manager along with other non-production day/support duties as described below.
Production Roles
Lead Utility (stagehand/assistant)
Stage Manager 1 (front of house)
Stage Manager 2 (backstage)
Ensures that stages/studios are cleaned, cleared and ready prior to productions
Camera Operator as needed for studio/field productions
Handheld Camera Operator (once trained) for studio/remote productions
Remote and field productions utility/camera operator/assistant as needed and assigned
Support Roles
Warehouse / Props & Sets maintenance and organization
Warehouse cataloging, check ins & check outs (in coordination with Warehouse Supervisors)
Works with production team to make set, furnishing & prop decisions
Arranges for the construction or building of set items as directed and/or needed
Serves as team lead on workdays when freelancers are hired to assist
Transporting of gear/sets/props to designated locations (on & off site)
Picks up and/or delivers rental equipment as needed
Equipment coordinator for field production gear
Maintains inventory
Maintains check in/check out documentation
Coordinates with DPs on production gear needs
Prepares gear for transporting and/or pickup
May be required to travel domestically or internationally to support productions
Essential Skills & Experience
Must be highly organized and detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to function in a LIVE production environment
Strong ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced daily TV environment while maintaining production standards and efficiencies
Self-starter with the ability to successfully complete task with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with Producers, Directors, etc.
Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional extended days
Able to travel as needed and assigned
Education
B.A. degree in film, or related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred or related experience
