Production Associate - Apparel

Fashion Contemporary Brand based in NYC is seeking a Production Associate to work closely and liaise between factories, and cross functional departments such as design, sourcing, sales and product development to ensure timely execution of the Production Calendar and the timely arrival of samples.

This role is temporary to permanent and has a hybrid schedule that allows remote work one time per week.

Responsibilities:

• Comprehend and adhere to corporate deadlines / milestones to meet sample deadlines
• Collaborate with Product Development on vendor allocations to ensure quality, price and delivery
• Maintain production BOMs
• Maintain seasonal cost and margin reports and report overall margin
• Review WIP reports from vendors to ensure Time and action is on time
• Attend production fittings and engage on costs components and approval timing
• Review and approve all bulk trims with factories
• Ensure Sales duplicates are requested on time each season
• Communicate with factories and external supplies in a timely manner
• Ensure buys received by targeted milestone for all buys
• Strong follow-up to ensure all pending issues are closed.
• Work closely with manager to negotiate costs with Fabric & trim suppliers and vendors.
• Analyze & Monitor Delivery Performance
• Create and maintain POs throughout the season- style master/ cost sheets/ garment PO/ size breaks
• Provide factories with information to order production labels and checks submits to ensure everything is correct before bulk is placed
• Review and approve garment test reports
• Proactively raise any production callouts/concerns to manager. Come with a point of view

Requirements:

• College degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in garment production
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; especially strong excel skills
• Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus
• Energetic and open minded to new ways of working
• Experience in small fashion contemporary brands
• Entrepreneurial mindset
