WATN/WLMT Memphis is looking for a part-time Production Operator who can join the news team in executing live newscasts. We are looking for someone adaptable and eager to learn learn about the many facets of local tv news and can use our technology to create dynamic, energetic, and engaging content. This is a part-time position that will get you started in the world of broadcast television. In this role you will have opportunities to learn about production and operations. Experience with a non-linear editing system is a plus.
Responsibilities
Operation of semi automated cameras and the camera control unit (CCU)
Audio
Graphics
Teleprompter setup and operation
Setup and care of studio including mics, news desk, camera positions, monitor graphics
Requirements
This is an entry level position, previous work or school related experience is helpful.
Working knowledge of cameras, audio and video editing software is a plus
Must be dependable, flexible in terms of scheduling, a team player and work well under pressure
Must be willing to work early morning hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
