The role of a Product Trainer is crucial for developing, enhancing, and delivering high-value training solutions for our customers. With a focus on both standard and custom eLearning courses, as well as dynamic Instructor-Led Training (ILT) sessions delivered virtually and on occasion in-person, this role is integral to the educational engagement and success of our customers.

Purpose And Scope Of Role

The Product Trainer ensures the punctual delivery of eLearning and ILT courses, embodying the role of a product knowledge authority for their designated product(s).

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to maintain and enhance this expertise, as well as to pinpoint and act upon training needs and enhancements.

The Product Trainer works together with eLearning developers to develop impactful and up-to-date course content that aligns with the latest software releases and customer needs, translating complex updates into digestible training material.

A commitment to maintaining high delivery satisfaction rates is vital to propel the success of the Accruent Academy.

This role reports to the Manager of Product Training.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Content Development and Maintenance:
    • Design robust training outlines and scripts and gather source materials for comprehensive training content.
    • Partner with eLearning developers to produce and update eLearning training solutions.
    • Create and refine materials for ILT, ensuring relevance and accuracy.
    • Collaborate within team and cross-functionally to identify training needs specific to identified customer needs.
    • Regularly review, test, and update course content in line with software advancements.
  • Instructor-Led Training Delivery:
    • Manage the development, logistics, coordination, and execution of ILT sessions, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
    • Engage with learners through the LMS, email, and virtual and in-person deliveries.
  • Collaborative Custom Content Creation:
    • Co-facilitate scoping calls and be the product authority for custom projects.
    • Collaborate with customers to tailor training solutions specific to their needs, understanding their unique environments and processes.
  • Product and Technical Expertise:
    • Continuously update product knowledge through active engagement with internal teams and staying well-informed of new releases.
    • Embrace emerging training technologies and methodologies to refine the training portfolio.
    • Serve as the go-to expert by deepening training knowledge and skills.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Forge strong connections with customers through various engagement activities, understanding their needs and ensuring a high-quality learning journey
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment to produce multiple quality deliverables with varying deadlines.
  • Comfortable in creating and editing advanced presentations, capturing content, and collaborating on multimedia content for eLearning courses.
  • Drive to always improve and deliver high quality courses to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning and Development, Adult Education, Computer Science, or a related field, and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven success in collaborative team environments.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects and delivering high-quality programs consistently.
  • Ability to learn at an above average pace and apply learning immediately to training delivery.
  • Proven aptitude for collaboration and cohesiveness within team environments.
  • Exhibited versatility and the capacity to pivot and adapt in dynamic settings.
  • Outstanding verbal and written interpersonal communication skills in English. An additional language is considered as an advantage.
  • Comfortable presenting to others online and in person; sound presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Virtual Meeting tools, and Atlassian Products.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 (preferred).
  • Willingness working on an global team with global customers that may require non-standard working hour availability.
  • Willingness to travel; requirements will vary but may be up to 25% of the time. Travel may also involve international destinations.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $54,100.00 - $100,500.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
