Job Summary:


Safety & Detection (S&D) is a newly created component of the CST business. Early in development, S&D is intended to bring scale and new products to the non-DUI alcohol and substance detection market. A number of potential market opportunities have been identified and are being evaluated. Identifying material market opportunities and building/acquiring the right products or services for the target markets are critical to the success of CST.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Execute against company vision, strategy, and priorities.

2. Working with CEO, CGO and other key executives, being a leader building Safety & Detection as a profitable growth business.

3. Create a go-to-market strategy for THC testing including target sub-markets, pricing, form/factor for testing mechanisms, value proposition of offering and business model. Building the GTM will require thorough understanding of the competitors, legislative trends, and other influences. GTM may include both domestic and international opportunities.

4. Align closely with Chief Science Officer to ensure that the technology is able to support the GTM and value proposition.

5. Align closely with the General Counsel to ensure that intellectual property is established and guarded in alignment with GTM and future vision.

6. Work closely with the CGO to determine structure and timing for building of team members within S&D and across organizational functions.

7. Bring non-consumer THC detection and monitoring product(s) to market in 2025. Manage learnings and opportunities to begin scaling in 2026.

8. Partner closely with the VP D2C S&D to ensure prioritization of product roadmaps, collaboration on learnings and opportunities and to maximize the progress across the S&D business.

9. Working with CEO, CGO and the Board to prioritize investments and execution across the potential components of the S&D Market.

10. Build and adhere to an annual operating and investment budget. Manage the business by identifying and staying current on key KPIs which may evolve as the business matures.

11. Organize and align resources to deliver on the above. Embrace an entrepreneurial mindset and speed as well as efficiency and bottom-line focus across the team.

12. Ensure accountability and ownership across the team while fostering collaboration and communication across the organization.

13. Attract, develop and retain key talent for building the business. Set clear expectations, measure, coach and guide team members.

14. Identify resource needs and opportunities. As the organization grows work to find ways to more efficiently scale and drive profitable business growth by leveraging centers of excellence and CST scale.

15. Model leadership, values and mission-orientation that are key to CST’s success and sustainability.

16. Build relationships with key influencers, customers, employees, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.

17. Leverage resources across the organization including LCatterton, the Board of Directors and other partners to have the greatest and most efficient impact on the organization.

18. Communicate consistently with CEO, CGO and peers to ensure alignment as well as manage issues proactively.

19. Be an active participant in the leadership discussions and meetings.

20. Given the early stage nature of the S&D organization, the preferred candidate will be able and willing to evolve the definition of their role as traction is achieved and products evolve.

21. Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

1. 1O+ years' experience in product development and management

2. 1 O+ years planning and developing product features and services with a focus on business-to-business markets.

3. Strong written and oral communication skills, deft at conveying complicated topics to all levels of the organization.

4. Ability to lead by influence across the organization and develop strong internal partnerships to effectively drive initiatives.

5. Data oriented, able to get hands dirty in data analysis to drive decisions.

6. Experience defining and delivering product MVP while building a product roadmap, trading off needs and wants, utilizing resources efficiently and hitting milestone targets.

7. Experience in successfully building and executing a got-to-market strategy.

8. Can understand and communicate the financial implications of strategic alternatives and decisions.

9. Solid judgment, able to make decisions among multiple good opportunities and own the outcome which could include reversing the decision.

10. Fosters a culture of entrepreneurship which includes moving with pace and innovation.
