Join us as a Precision Diagnostics Patient Navigator / Trainer specializing in imaging and Hereditary Cancer Testing. This position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with our partner clinical team and training our Patient Navigators to successfully educate patients on the benefits of genetic testing and early detection.

Specific job responsibilities

  • Empowering Healthcare Providers: Become a product champion for HALO's innovative precision diagnostics services! Train and support our patient navigators on how to effectively discuss HALO's precision diagnostic offerings with patients.
  • Serve as clinical trainer to patient Navigators by providing effective remote and onsite education and clinical support.
  • Assist in answering patient Navigator frequently asked logistics and clinical questions.
  • Flexibility in traveling a minimum of 50% of workdays.
  • Act as Navigator when patient Navigators are out of office (10-20% of workdays).
  • Answering medical questions and addressing medical issues.
  • Assessing risk for genetic and genomic testing.
  • Discuss test results and clinical actions
  • Act as Course Director or secondary instructor depending on Operations needs
  • Maintain training rooms in a clean and presentable manner including setup and teardown of classroom equipment

Specific skills:

  • Experience with patient counseling
  • Experience training entry level health care administrators - nice to have
  • Knowledge of HIPPA laws - nice to have
  • Ability to travel 50% + of the time
  • Must be bilingual

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of genetics or imaging experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish / English
