Job Summary : As our Photography Manager, you'll lead our photography team, overseeing day-to-day operations at our store and warehouse locations. With a focus on capturing and editing product images of some of the coolest guitars, drums, accessories and other instruments, you'll work alongside your team to ensure high-quality visuals for our website and e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Reverb. 80-90% of the role involves hands-on photography work and 10-20% of the role involves management duties including staffing, training, equipment maintenance, and coordinating with other managers and departments. This position works closely with the Ecommerce and New Product teams. Responsibilities/Duties : Manage the day to day product photography operations at our store and warehouse locations Photograph incoming musical instruments and edit product images for our website and e-commerce platforms Lead initiatives to enhance shooting and editing processes, revisiting and refining existing procedures as needed for optimal efficiency and quality Conduct daily meetings with the photography team to set priorities, assign and delegate tasks Collaborate with other departmental managers, including but not limited to Ecommerce, Sales, and Purchasing Managers Ensure photography results meet quality and consistency standards of both CME and its partners Schedule staff and allocate to locations as needed, manage time clocks, and approve PTO requests Coordinate with various departments to prioritize products within photography queues, ensuring timely completion of tasks Generate reports on the production output of the photography team, tracking key metrics, and identifying and acting upon areas for improvement Hire, onboard and train photography staff members, and provide ongoing guidance and support, continuously develop training guides and manuals Maintain photography supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and readily available for use, replace and/or fix as needed Proactively address the needs of the team, promptly responding to staff requests and escalating issues when necessary Review and address requests for updated, improved, or otherwise inaccurate live product photography, delegate tasks as necessary Required Experience / Attributes Expertise with using and maintaining DSLR cameras Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop Thorough understanding and practical experience with studio photography lighting Experience effectively managing teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines Strong organization and time-management abilities Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Keen attention to detail while working within tight deadlines Sense of urgency to maintain workflow Proficiency in using Google Suite of applications and MacOS Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, proactively seeking guidance and support when needed Basic understanding of music gear, products, and accessories Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing 50+ lbs, crouching, kneeling, and standing for periods of time Additional Info and Benefits Full time position, salary position Salary Range: $45,000 - $52,000 based on management experience, product photography skill, and music gear knowledge Benefits include Medical insurance fully paid for by the company depending on the plan selected Dental, vision, and life insurance 401k after 6 months of employment with 2% match (must be 21 or older) Paid Time Off Starts at 14 days per year and goes up to 28 days after 5 years of employment Commuter Benefits - Pay for transit w/ pre-tax dollars Employee discount on music gear Casual dress code and office environment All applications are reviewed.
