About the Role:

In this role, the Product Owner will support our Affinitē Intelligent Insights solution by partnering and collaborating with the Director of Product Management for Affinitē Aii (Intelligent Insights) and by gathering and analyzing user personas, customer and system workflows and process mapping, identifying implementation barriers, conducting analyses, developing and recommending strategies for improvement to support the end user/customer experience, identifying and analyzing user requirements, communicating customer requirements and concerns to the Product Manager and monitor for process improvement performance. The Product Owner will use best practices in breaking down features into high-value and descriptive user stories, using a format mutually agreed upon with the tech team, that can be passed onto the technology team for implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including user stories, non-functional requirements, supportability considerations, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Own, organize, prioritize, and maintain the sprint backlog for Affinitē Intelligent Insights suite of capabilities, ensuring it is transparent, understood, and visible, balancing the stakeholders' requirements.
  • Collaborate in an Agile environment and continuously review the product manager's business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks. Be creative!
  • Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, and technology.
  • Effectively navigates customer organizational structure, policies, and infrastructure to remove impediments.
  • Work with customer stakeholders, VDT Product Managers, and the Affinitē Intelligent Insights Product Manager to capture use cases and enhancement requests.
  • Support the Product Manager in the development and execution of the product roadmap.
  • Assist in defining the user experience for internal/external users, including support and continuous monitoring and evaluation.
  • Provide prioritization to assist in leading the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and their needs.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance to evaluate future investment.
  • Expert Knowledge of SDLC.
  • Detail-oriented, team player, soft skills that help promote best practices and ongoing process improvement.
  • Participate in business or technical design reviews.
  • Provide product technical support for all new client implementations, including participating with the Product Manager in discovery, project planning, issue management, communication, and change management.
  • Coordinate and/or consult with project teams on how to test various system features and interfaces.
  • Ensure all programs have met specifications, user requirements, and company technical standards; participate in code review activities.
  • Able to participate in client-facing customer support teams to:
    • Provide technical support during implementation and post-go-live as needed.
    • Support hosted client production runs for Care Gaps.
    • Performed problem analysis and research to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
  • Provide timely and accurate project status, including schedule, issues, and variances.
  • Serves as a liaison between product managers and technology team members to analyze, document, and validate functional requirements per the features outlined by the Product Manager.
  • In partnership with the Insights Product Manager, document the user journey and identify ways to improve customer pain points through process optimization, technology, change management, or communication.
  • Document data flows through applications, demonstrating system functionality.
  • Research issues, using business and operational expertise to determine the cause and expected outcome; provide documentation to the development group.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and recommend improvements.
  • Thoroughly document all defects and enhancements throughout the life cycle.
  • Ensure the development teams stay on task and work to agreed-upon priorities.
  • Assist the development team in making priority decisions when conflicts arise.
Requirements:

  • Exceptional curiosity and proven ability to execute and drive priorities to successful completion.
  • A 4-year college degree in computer science, healthcare, business, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Product Ownership through Scaled Agile Framework, Pragmatic, or comparable entity and working with either MS Dev Ops or JIRA
  • Effectively analyze and resolve problems by leveraging critical thinking.
  • 3-5 years experience as a Product Owner working with SaaS analytics or applications in healthcare.
  • 4-6 years experience with NCQA HEDIS and other sourced and endorsed measures such as Adult and Child Core measures, and Health Home.
  • 4-6 years of experience working with different sources and types of healthcare data, how it moves, and how to leverage it.
  • Familiarity with Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Intelligent Automation, and Analytics as interoperability and integration methods (Health Care API and concepts, FHIR, point-to-point, etc.)
  • Experience with agile methodologies and managing all product life cycle stages.
