Job Overview


The Product Marketing Specialist reports to the Product Marketing Director and is crucial in implementing specific tactics and supporting the development of product marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration for our products and services. In this role, you will:

  • Be a Product Marketing generalist, completing various tasks across the product marketing lifecycle with an emphasis on research and analysis
  • Work closely with senior team members across the business to assist in the execution of marketing strategies, content and collateral creation, and research.


Key Responsibilities


Research/analysis:

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to gather relevant data and insights that will help inform market positioning and messaging development.
  • Assist in identifying market trends and customer needs – and then mapping those needs to develop personas and buyer profiles
  • Analyze internal data to help inform strategies and go to market plans.
  • Track and report on product marketing activity performance. Provide insights and recommendations to improve and optimise results


Content Creation:

  • Assist in developing value propositions, positioning, and messaging
  • Create and update sales presentations and other assets to support the sales team.
  • Help create and update marketing materials, such as brochures, product sheets, and presentations.
  • Support the development of digital content for websites, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Assist in writing case studies and other Voice of the Client (VoC) activities


Sales Support:

  • Respond to sales team requests for information and materials.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to provide material for sales training on new products/capabilities, including regular updates on product enhancements


Product Launch Support:

  • Help coordinate logistics for product launches and other activities.
  • Create plans and other materials to ensure successful go-to-market processes.


Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including analysts, product management, sales, digital marketing, demand generation and customer support.
  • Attend meetings, follow-up on actions and contribute to brainstorming sessions.


Experience/Aptitude


Demonstrated Ability To:

  • Conduct research and back up opinions and insights with thoughtful, valid data from appropriate sources
  • Develop strong value propositions and product collateral that engages prospects
  • Distill complicated features and benefits into clear messaging themes for specific audiences
  • Monitor for and identify market signs, trends, and client opportunities
  • Collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Have a bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to do what it takes to get things done
  • Work autonomously and collaborate effectively as part of a remote team
  • Balance vision, passion, and practicality


Candidates must have:

  • Good project management and organisational skills
  • Experience in professional services/research/knowledge products
  • Experience with Sharepoint and MS Office suite of tools, especially PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • External-facing writing skills such as case studies, sales collateral, and website copy
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience conducting client/customer interviews and focus groups to determine needs and assess feedback
  • Experience with our suite of tools: Salesforce, Highspot (or similar sales enablement platform), Wrike (or similar project management tool), Templafy


Remote Work and Travel (Including International): The candidate must be comfortable with a combination of remote work and travel, with the flexibility to work from home when not traveling and travel as needed to client sites, conferences, training sessions or company events, both domestically and internationally. The ability to maintain productivity and communication while on the road, including during international trips, is essential.
