Product Manager, Data and Insights

Natera’s Data Products team is looking for a Product Manager to focus on data management and delivery to accelerate innovation and insights.

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our organizational Data and Insights strategy and drive execution, partnering effectively with domain specific digital product managers and translating their requirements into data solutions. Working with a passionate global team, you will evolve our data ingestion, storage, and visualization capabilities beyond the data lake to a distributed, data mesh architecture that ultimately has a direct impact on the growth of 70+ products at Natera by amplifying our data-driven culture.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with digital PMs/engineering stakeholders to define consistent data and analytics specifications for development teams.
  • Translate disparate data/analytics requests into a cohesive roadmap of high-leverage projects that define the future of our data platform and processes and establish data strategies.
  • Scale our data assets, platforms and products to be more accessible, reliable, and digestible for all Natera business owners
  • Establish data standards, ensuring data accuracy, governance, privacy, and security while ensuring effective data utilization
  • Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance, data governance, data stewardship, data quality management, and metadata management
  • Collaborate with PMs to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for each product, evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop detailed product specifications with user scenarios and acceptance criteria and success measures
  • Collaborate on the vision, capabilities, and roadmap for the product instrumentation to ensure we have high-quality data available during the launch of all products and features

Qualifications

  • Your hands-on approach is critical as you work closely with product, engineering, data science, sales, marketing, and customer experiences teams to understand data needs, and turn that knowledge into innovative and easy-to-use data products and features
  • Prior experience with laboratory testing, bioinformatics, or operations.
  • 5+ years of data product related technical knowledge or implementing data products and processes: this includes SQL, data pipeline, visualization tools, statistics, and machine learning concepts
  • Strong leadership and communication skills especially the ability to lead through influence across functional and organizational lines
  • Solid understanding of data analytics, data visualization, and data-driven decision-making processes
  • Experience in one or more data science tools such as Pandas, NumPy, or with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Quicksight, Tableau, PowerBI.
  • Experience with ETL technologies, Connector Management, Data Management & Analytics platforms
  • Prior experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake or AWS would be beneficial.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
