Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Product Development Coordinator. The Product Development Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to product development, including communication with suppliers, analyzing market trends, managing projects, creating marketing sell-sheets, product briefs and assisting with sales. The ideal candidate is excited and passionate about developing beauty products and will be a key contributor to a growing indie beauty brand

• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of meeting project milestones and deadlines.

• Experience in supplier and vendor management, including sourcing raw materials, negotiating contracts, pricing and maintaining supplier relationships.

• Support cross-functional departments with robust Launch Presentations on, ingredients, usage, benefits, claims, etc.

• Distill founder’s ideas to achievable and innovative product concepts.

• Creation of Product Concept Decks to align internal team on

• Hard and Soft Product Claims on Secondary Packaging

• Assist with clinical substantiation process (hard claims)

• Advise high level on language (soft claims).

• Responsible for monitoring the total COG vs. budget through the product life cycle.

• Manage and negotiate product costs in line with competitive SRPs

• Follow up as needed to ensure all orders are being properly shipped and arriving on schedule


Qualifications

• 2+ years of product development experience in the beauty industry, ideally in skincare, haircare or color cosmetics

• Knowledge of the beauty market and a passion for products, ingredients and how they work

• Familiarity with regulatory affairs, compliance, and required testing within the beauty industry

• Strong organization and filing skills

• Sense of urgency

• Proven track record of attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks with precision and detail

• Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments

• Solid problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and business acumen

• Flexible personality to take on new challenges as they come and to switch gears immediately when necessary

• Strong knowledge of MS Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management platforms (strong knowledge of Monday.com platform a plus, but not required)

• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
