Product Development Assistant

Job Description

The Product Development Assistant is responsible for providing support to the CPUO team in designing, developing, and launching new product reference content. The role assists in all aspects of the creation of reference content for our business teams. The role is involved in coordinating product testing and evaluation, publishing policy forms, product rules and rates, manuals, guides and other reference material(s) utilized by various business units across multiple distribution platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supports various business units in managing and publishing policy forms, product rules and rates, manuals, guides and other reference materials.
• Uses IBM code language to code text and format forms and documents.
• Uses the Smart Communications application to format and program templates.
• Publishes and proofreads documents prior to publishing to ensure spelling accuracy, grammar, proper styles and standardization and offers suggestions on drafts for usability, formatting improvements and consistency on standard changes.
• Coordinates the creation and implementation of forms and documents in the systems with IT and various business units.
• Documents and manages content including ensuring proper refresh and archive cycles as well as effective and expiration date accuracy and audits the published documentation.
• Documents workflows and procedures applicable to the publishing team and CPUO.
• Provides access to Commercial Lines employees for many different vendor tools used in their daily roles

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in Product Development, Communications, or a related field. High School Diploma, GED and/or commensurate experience.
• Experience in English, Communication, Technical Writing, Journalism and or equivalent experience would be a plus.
