Responsibilities:
- Help manage material development & sourcing for Active Division
- Track all fabric developments and follow up on all submits
- Help create & Maintain Fabric Library & coding system
- Experience with different types of fabrics – Active, at-leisure, outdoor, snow
- Daily communication with garment factories and fabric mills to troubleshoot issues
- Request and confirm FDS for each fabric and enter info into PLM for all qualities
- Maintain fabric charts for each season and create binders by brand/season for each for fabric library
- Strong organizational and follow up skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Team player with strong “hand on” experience and ability to drive a process and meet deadlines
- Ability to adjust and manage multiple priorities
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of product development experience, in the apparel/retail space.
- BFA or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of factory operations, garment construction, costing and logistics.
- Ability to communicate clearly using apparel terminology.
- Knowledge of product, strong fashion, color and print sense.
- Organized and detailed orientated.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work on a continual basis.
- Flexible and able to accept and embrace changing priorities with positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to be productive independently and in team setting.
- Efficient on Excel, Microsoft Office, PLM, PDM.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Some Graphic design knowledge is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Production Systems, such as AS400, Blue Cherry.
