We're looking for a passionate product designer intern to work on TikTok effects platform and help millions of creators to share their creative effects. Join our fast growing team at TikTok in the Bay area (San Jose, CA) to work on AR features that help evolve and drive impact for TikTok globally.
Responsibilities - Learn about the domain and workflows of our users - Collaborate with cross functional teams including product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers to help identify and define problems to solve, and explore solutions - Assist multiple projects for design from strategy to launch, ensuring we're shipping meaningful and quality experiences - Provide multiple solutions based on user needs, business goals, and technical constraints for any given project - Create end-to-end user flows, both low and high fidelity, and prototypes as needed - Review product releases qualitatively and through data, pre and post launch to ensure high quality experiences are reaching millions of TikTok users - Assist design workshops and sprints with cross-functional teams to explore innovative solutions for problems and opportunities identified through research and data
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in product design related majors (product interaction design and HCI, etc.) - Ability to rapidly iterate and produce multiple concepts and strong willingness to learn and adapt to a fast growing environment - Great communication skills to be able to articulate your concepts, vision and decision-making - Knowledge of working with Figma/ Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and OSX, iOS & Android - A passion and enthusiasm for TikTok and its community! Preferred Qualifications - Solid interaction and visual skills and strong eye for detail - Great organizational skills and curious about a/b testing and a data driven practice - Ability to welcome all feedback and be patient and to fit within a startup culture which celebrates efficiency and driving impact - Not afraid to fail but is driven by success

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $28.5- $47.5. We cover 100% premium coverage for Full-Time intern medical insurance after 90 days from the date of hire. Medical coverage only, no dental or vision coverage.
Our time off and leave plans are: Paid holidays and paid sick leave. The sick leave entitlement is based on the time you join.
