At Skillshare, we’re building a global community of curious, lifelong learners, and we’re excited to welcome a Product Design Intern to our team. We strive to provide every teacher and student with a frictionless and beautifully designed experience.


Role Overview: As a Product Design Intern, you’ll spend three glorious months working with a product design team that is thoughtful, honest, and kind. This is a great opportunity to develop your craft in a supportive environment of highly skilled designers. During your internship, you’ll get hands-on experience working with product, engineering, and cross-functional partners to support the design and development of our product. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to get resume and portfolio feedback during your time with us.


Please note: This is a 3 month internship, 20 hrs per week, $28 per hr. We can work with your schedule, but the bulk of your working hours should be during company working hours so you get the most out of your internship experience.


What you'll do:

  • Support the product design team in creating user-centered design solutions.
  • Produce design concepts and prototypes, balancing the need for high and low fidelity designs.
  • Present design work to team members and stakeholders, gathering feedback and iterating on solutions.
  • Help maintain consistent visual design patterns across all Skillshare platforms (web, mobile web, iOS, and Android).


Here is a list of possible projects and experiences you could have during your internship. The specific project(s) will be planned in collaboration with you.


  • Growth experiments
