CNN seeks a talented Producer to join the Laura Coates Live in DC!
Your Role Accountabilities...
This producer is responsible for both guest segments and occasional field producing. Must pitch compelling and creative segment ideas on a daily basis. The producer needs strong editorial judgment with the ability to select key video, soundbites and graphics to ensure a highly-produced segment. This producer will write and craft compelling segments, including the set-up to the guest and the questions, based on thorough research. Ability to write package scripts on tight deadlines is a plus.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $86,377.00 - $160,415.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.

Qualifications & Experience...
- 5+ years producing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Field production experience and control room experience are helpful.
- Requires a creative thinker with the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information, new angles to approach stories, and the organization skills to bring it all together.
- Outstanding news judgment, critical and strategic thinking, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic are critical for the position.
- Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.
