Double Fine Productions is currently looking for a Producer in our San Francisco Development Studio. About the Role:

The Producer's primary responsibility is to own the production duties for a new unannounced project. This Producer will need to be self-directed, highly organized, and detail-oriented with a strong desire to contribute to a uniquely creative environment. They will tenaciously champion their team's needs and work to ensure a positive, collaborative work culture where people feel productive and fulfilled.

Qualifications:

  • You possess a solid understanding of the process of making games, including tech, art, and design pipelines
  • You have shipped or taken a product to market
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You operate with a growth mindset and value curiosity
  • You understand the importance of empathy in the workplace.

In This Role You Will Be Responsible for:

  • Organization - Establish clear, comprehensive, and thorough organizational processes for development on a game to be released simultaneously on multiple platforms
  • Schedules - Work with project leadership to create schedules and define milestone deliverables from Pre-Production through launch
  • Quality - Ensure the project is meeting the quality standards of the Studio
  • Resolution - Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget and creative goals
  • Staffing - Work with the art, audio, design and programming leads to ensure proper project staffing
  • Tracking - Create and track project tasks and progress. Identify bottlenecks and risks during production and recommend options to mitigate them
  • Pipeline - Coordinate task interdependencies to ensure timely and accurate asset flow
  • Testing - Organize internal playtests, gather feedback, and convert that feedback into action items for the team
  • Balance - Collaborate with the Director of Development and other Producers to define development processes and pipelines that support healthy work-life balance while ensuring maximum team productivity across the Studio
  • Contracting - Manage external developers and contractors to their contractual requirements

Pluses:

  • A passion for playing and making video games
  • Technical, artistic, and/or design background
  • Experience with a variety of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Syncsketch, Slack, Favro, etc
  • Expert knowledge of game industry hardware and software trends
  • 5+ years of production experience at a game development studio


Benefits

The Annual Salary Range for this role is $106,000 - $127,000 dependent upon experience.
