Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager / Advanced Manufacturing / Los Angeles, CA

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the indirect procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing startup in the Advanced Manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• People management – direct reports, such as Buyers.
• Prioritize projects to maximize cost reductions.
• Manage cross functional projects to meet objectives and goals.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.
• Develop sourcing strategies.
• Create and raise purchase orders.
• Work closely with program management to support prototyping requirements.

Experience Required:

• 5+ years professional Supply Chain experience, ideally in a Manufacturing environment.
• Technical Procurement experience, with Mechanical and Electrical components.
• Facilities procurement, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing.
• Must have experience with ERP Systems.
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
• Good interpersonal skills and liaising with suppliers.
• Previous experience managing employees.
• Aerospace and/or Automotive experience highly advantageous.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline
