PROCUREMENT MANAGER - ALL PACKAGES

Location: USA (All locations - remote) Duration: Permanent, full time

Responsibilities

In this role, you will advise offshore wind developer clients on strategic procurement and supply chain services. Your key responsibilities will include evaluating supply chain opportunities, establishing sourcing strategies, leading tenders, negotiating with vendors, and managing contracts. You will play a crucial role in realizing large offshore wind farms and contributing to the decarbonization of America's energy sector. Specific activities and responsibilities will include:

  • Design, plan, and execute procurement and supply chain strategies.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts for offshore wind supply, construction, and services.
  • Advise clients on various commercial and contractual matters related to their offshore wind farms.
  • Manage your schedule, travel, and report time, expenses, and other managerial items for the successful operation of JUMBO's consulting business.
  • Support the development of JUMBO's digital assets and sales opportunities when not assigned to a client project. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise in the procurement process and your specific categories of expertise.
  • sourcing strategies based on JUMBO's market intelligence and client-specific demands.
  • Identify all value levers within the procurement scope and set tender strategies with well-defined award criteria.
  • Lead the entire procurement process, including issuing RFIs, RFPs, and tenders, evaluating proposals, negotiating with vendors, and finalizing contracts.
  • Prepare diligently for negotiations, including rehearsals, and lead the negotiation process to achieve maximum value for the client.
  • Lead procurement processes in compliance with client governance and approval procedures.
  • Secure maximum value for clients in terms of quality, price, and schedule while minimizing risks.
  • Coordinate the flow of information internally and externally, keeping all stakeholders informed on progress.
  • Actively manage vendor relationships through regular communications and meetings, maintaining and improving vendor and market knowledge.

Qualifications

  • A strong desire to decarbonize the energy sector by supporting large-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Experience leading corporate procurement processes, ideally for large-scale scopes, with a preference for experience in the offshore wind or energy sector.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
