Blackstone’s Portfolio Management group is looking for an Analyst within its Portfolio Insights team. The core focus of the team is to prepare, evaluate, analyze, and summarize portfolio performance on a fund and investment basis – activities which are critical to supporting Private Equity’s strategic initiatives and valuations. The team is called upon to handle a variety of ad hoc and recurring analyses related to portfolio performance, monitoring and reporting. Other responsibilities may include supporting the broader finance, deal, and investor relations teams on an ad hoc basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance templates to collect data and analyze asset-level metrics, ensuring metrics are consistent across the portfolio
Track, monitor, and analyze performance data at the asset, fund, and portfolio level
Update portfolio company KPI dashboards to reflect actual performance. Complete variance analyses against plan and assess value creation drivers over the holding period of each investment
Assist in enhancing the portfolio monitoring and valuation reporting processes and analytics
Participate in discussions with and provide deliverables to various constituents, including Deal Teams, Portfolio Operations, Asset Managers, and Senior Management
Support the portfolio review process and participate in various ad hoc initiatives and projects
Assist in enhancing the Finance Group’s reporting processes and analytics
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred, but strong performers in other majors may be considered; strong academic record
2+ years of experience in a financial or business analytics role
Effective communicator, both orally and in writing
Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
Strong analytical skills and a strong attention to details
Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet competing deadlines
Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment or individually
Experience and working knowledge of iLevel, Alteryx and Tableau a plus
Experience with Python, SQL, or other languages is a plus
Proficiency in Excel is required

Expected annual base salary range:
$90,000 - $125,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
