Private Equity/Mergers & Acquisitions Associate

Job Description

As a Private Equity/Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Associate, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responsible for supporting the execution of investment opportunities and M&A transactions. You will work closely with senior members of the firm to conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and market research to identify and evaluate potential investments and acquisition targets. Your role will involve preparing investment memos, financial models, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, as well as participating in negotiations and deal structuring. Additionally, you will monitor portfolio companies and assist in the implementation of value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting financial analysis, including valuation, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Performing due diligence on potential investment opportunities and acquisition targets.
• Researching industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
• Preparing investment memoranda, pitch decks, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assisting in negotiations, deal structuring, and transaction execution.
• Monitoring portfolio companies and supporting value creation initiatives.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to facilitate successful transactions.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or M&A advisory.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Team player with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
