Private Equity Associate

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Private Equity Associate to join our dynamic team in Chicago. This individual will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, executing transactions, and managing portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking or financial diligence and experience supporting deals within the business services or manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
• Due Diligence: Perform detailed market research, competitive analysis, and financial assessments.
• Transaction Execution: Assist in the negotiation and execution of transactions, including preparing investment memos and presentations.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and support portfolio companies in strategic planning, performance tracking, and operational improvements.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and identify new investment opportunities.
• Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with portfolio companies, industry contacts, and other stakeholders.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or financial diligence.
