Visdomur Private Equity Internship

Location: Remote

Job Type: Internship

Compensation: Unpaid

Duration: 3 months

About Visdomur

Visdomur is a private equity education group focused on acquiring and enhancing Early Childhood Education (ECE). Our goal is to be educating 10,000 students a year by 2033. We will accomplish this by building a portfolio of top-tier schools and daycares in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Visdomur was founded on the principle of making an impact on future generations through Early Childhood Education. We have three goals:

  • Positively impact our local communities
  • Empower our teachers and educators
  • Provide a foundational education for our children

We are not backed by institutional investors, and this allows us to take a much longer-term perspective, which we believe strongly aligns us with the children and families we look after and the teachers we employ.

Visdomur Recruiting Process

Our recruiting process takes around 2 weeks and consists of the ApplicationAssessment, and Interview.

Job Description

As a Private Equity Analyst, you will help position Visdomur as a market leader in Early Childhood Education (ECE) by bolstering our M&A and operational strategies through deal-sourcing, compiling research reports, and contributing to the analysis of potential acquisitions.

Your work as an analyst will directly influence our M&A and operational strategies. Therefore, our internship program is performance-based, meaning that the better you perform, the more opportunities you'll have to work on important real-world M&A projects.

  2. Enrich Data: Assist in acquiring contact information on potential acquisition targets
  3. Database Administration: Help maintain our database of ECE businesses and contacts

Research Projects

  2. Operations: Develop research reports on best practices for operating ECE businesses
  3. M&A: Generate reports on the current state of M&A in ECE

Deal Analysis

  1. Assess: Review Confidential Information Memorandum’s (CIMs) for key information
  2. Input: Enter key acquisition criteria and company details into our investment memos
  3. Observe: Sit in on strategic discussion surrounding acquisition targets

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Strong interest in early childhood education, educational technology, and private equity.
  • Exceptional skills in problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication.
  • Previous experience in Finance or Private Equity is a plus.
