We are seeking a motivated Private Equity Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Private Equity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting daily financial analysis, and monitoring the portfolio of our private equity investments. You will work closely with senior members of the investment team and contribute to the overall success of our firm.
Please note, this is a full-time, in office role based in Manhattan. We are looking for applicants who can begin immediately. We are not currently accepting students or out of state applicants at this time.
Responsibilities:
1. Investment Analysis: Conduct daily comprehensive financial analysis of investment opportunities in private equity.
2. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess investment returns, cash flow projections, and potential risks.
3. Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor the performance of existing portfolio companies, and provide daily updates to the investment team. Identify potential value creation opportunities and recommend strategic actions to optimize investment returns.
4. Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals, legal advisors, and portfolio company management. Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and participate in investment committee meetings.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, such as Excel, and financial databases is a must
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent research and due diligence capabilities, with the ability to gather and analyze data from various sources
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
