Job Responsibilities:
- Manages, assesses, and investigates cases that come through the Privacy Incident mailbox conferring with HR, business owners and managers for recommending outcomes and next steps.
- Manages the privacy walkthrough process from end-to-end documenting security violations/findings, coaches associate on privacy related topics and assigning training.
- Oversees internal access control / provisioning to ensure people leaders who have associates with access to high-risk data review access for appropriateness on a regular and re-occurring basis.
- Performs analysis and risk assessment of privacy incidents and makes determination on severity of the incident.
- Completes the internal development, implementation, maintenance and review of Privacy related policies, procedures, training, and programs.
- Serves as a liaison in corresponding and communicating Privacy requirements with associates.
- Participates in all phases of project planning, project coordination, implementation, and monitoring of results.
- Reviews and/or completes action items within assigned ad hoc projects to facilitate the completion of necessary milestones.
- Creates and maintains project related materials through different channels of written communication (memos, training materials, executive summaries, presentations, etc.)
- Creates and maintains relationships and advise privacy advocates throughout the organization on privacy related topics. Presents privacy related topics and training to privacy advocates at meetings.
- Assists Compliance Leadership with other programs as needed.
- Performs other projects and analysis related to Information Governance and Information Security as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience in Managed Care/Health Insurance in a related field or managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (HIPAA, CCPA, State Privacy laws)
- Knowledge of data privacy best practices and industry standards a plus.
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs preferred.
- Incident Response a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
