Job Title-Printer Tech (Managed Print Services)

Location- McLean VA 22102 (Onsite)

Duration- 3months (Temp to hire)

Shift hours: M-F 8 am – 5 pm

Payrate: $20/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

  • Client office located in McLean, VA
  • Work with client personnel- onsite facilities management and MPS lead/management
  • Will be working with one additional tech onsite supporting the client’s printer services
  • Devices are HP Printers- recently replaced Xerox with HP
  • Serves as the primary KDC (Key Device Contact) supporting and coordinating activities with the client’s Managed Print Services (MPS) team.
  • Service Insight ticketing system- will receive work orders- responsible for keeping them updated and closed out once work has been completed and verified as resolved.
  • Responsible for daily floor walks- visiting each printer with the offices supported on a daily basis to determine needs of the printers (toner, error, paper, jam, maintenance, etc.)
  • Assist with client audits- performing printer inventory and supply inventory
  • IP assignments, updating printer password as needed
  • Manager tickets through Service Insight ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot printer issues report by the client staff
  • Resolve printer technical issues onsite and/or remote diagnostics
  • Provide MACD support; move, add, and delete services as requested. Includes physical movement of desktop printer models when an office change is required.

Printer installation services to include

  • Unbox the printer, configure the hardware, and do a Power On-Self Test (POST)
  • Attach the printer to clients network connection and configure the printers IP address
  • Run the vendor-supplied trouble shooting procedures if there are any error messages
  • Update the Service Request/ mark as complete

Responsible for projects and other duties assigned by the MPS management team

  • Time Management is very important- must be available when needed by client/ end users
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain highest level of customer satisfaction
