Role Overview

The Studio Print Specialist is primary focus area is to support the North American (and at times Global) Studio print lab. You are a ninja with an X-Acto blade, and can properly identify different paper weights by touch! Jokes aside, you will be helping with day-to-day activities which include: printing and binding presentation materials, creating boards for internal/external meetings, creating event signage, creating prototypes/mock-ups for TV/Motion/Photoshoots, proofing, etc.

The ideal candidate should already have a strong understanding of wide format and digital print equipment. The candidate should also have a basic understanding of color management principles and best practices. As one of the “Faces” of the Studio, client service mindset is a MUST. And because the equipment is on-site at our office in Fulton Market, expectations would be that this role is 100% on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Client service mindset and fantastic interpersonal skills with internal/external Teams and Partners
  • Collaborates closely with other Studio Team members, Account, Production, Creative
  • Daily maintenance & operation of in-house wide format and digital print equipment
  • Prints and creating presentation decks and boards for internal and external meetings
  • Creating color-accurate Hero prototypes/mock-ups
  • Color optimizations and proofing hi-res final artwork through RIP softwares
  • Order, track, and process in-house digital print consumables and supplies
  • Layout and creation of graphics for internal and external projects
  • Properly organizing files and following Studio standards for: file structure, naming conventions, layers, color, etc.
  • Participates in all applicable Studio status meeting and always strives for continuous improvement opportunities

Skills And Experience

  • 1 – 3 year’s experience in fast-paced print environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Creative Suite softwares (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Understanding of wide format and digital print devices
  • Understanding of finishing techniques: presentation deck binding, mounting boards, prototyping/mock-ups, etc.
  • Understanding of RIPs and proofing systems (ORIS ColorTuner & Fiery preferred)
  • Understanding of Color Management Basics & Principles
  • Photography fundamentals and stage lighting a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client service mindset
  • Collaborative by nature and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects, prioritize appropriately and problem solve
  • Highly organized and meticulous attention to detail
