Midnight Oil (moagency.com), strategically located in "the heart of Hollywood" in Burbank, CA, is an extraordinary creative, and specialty print production partner to the majority of theatrical and streaming studios, with relationships often measured in terms of decades, not years. We uniquely and conveniently combine our Studio and Print Production capabilities all under one roof in our 120,000 square feet facility, with an Amtrak stop and the Burbank Airport directly across the street. Position Summary: The Prepress/Premedia Lead manages multiple projects and facilitates the production of prepress files to meet client objectives, ensuring the integrity of files delivered.

Work Location: On-site in Burbank, CA.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional overtime.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day client communication and tactical aspects of multiple projects.
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to supervisor or account team (Account Services, CM, Premedia Leads, production artists) that may affect performance, relationships, deliverables, quality and job cost.
  • Job entry and upkeep of records of work performed, utilizing internal job tickets and tracking systems as necessary.
  • Adhere to job schedule and deadlines, supporting the CM in regard to campaign/project milestones.
  • Coordinate the preflight, production, output and approval of proofs.
  • Coordinate with the Color Lead for color/finishing needs.
  • Perform various upload and download tasks.
  • Maintain template consistency and file quality for print and electronic media.
  • Follow company Security Policy and asset management protocol.
  • Initiates the billing process and coordinates with Accounting for progress billing and closing out the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Well versed in Prepress/Premedia process for entertainment, theatrical, retail, and gaming.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in a project management and print production discipline
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Cloud and job tracking systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agency and/or Entertainment industry experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project coordination skills
  • Proactive approach to identify and solve problems before they arise
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in any language (including ASL) preferred

The national pay range for this role is $33.00 to $43.00/hourly. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission, or incentive program.
