Job Overview
We're seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing subcontract specifications, procurement processes, and fostering strong supplier relationships. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations and drive strategic initiatives that enhance our global impact.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms for specialized materials and services.
Coordinate bid packages, evaluate proposals, and negotiate subcontract terms to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with various teams including contracts, engineering, and quality assurance to streamline processes and achieve project goals.
Monitor supplier performance, quality, and reliability, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Implement innovative strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and mitigate risks through effective negotiations and supplier management.
Oversee strategic suppliers, review payment processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma/GED with extensive relevant experience; OR
Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience; OR
Master's degree with relevant experience.
Strong understanding of procurement policies and federal contracting regulations.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and make informed decisions.
Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team success.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international procurements and managing US Govt. prime contracts.
Familiarity with SAP procurement systems or similar tools.
Knowledge of import/export regulations for materials and technology.
