Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future! We are looking for a passionate and innovative Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is excited about making a difference and contributing to cutting-edge projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Subcontract Specifications: Craft detailed subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for procuring services, specialized materials, and equipment.
Bid Management: Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, and perform price/cost analyses.
Negotiation and Coordination: Negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, and manage subcontract modifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with program functional areas to coordinate subcontract funding, invoice processing, and program reviews.
Documentation and Logistics: Ensure proper documentation is provided to logistics and transportation teams to record receipt accurately.
Supplier Management: Evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability, and manage their performance to support required delivery schedules.
Cost and Efficiency: Identify strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and manage risks through strategic negotiations.
Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other process tools with suppliers to drive quality and continuous improvement.
Compliance: Ensure all subcontracts comply with public law requirements and company policies, including import/export regulations.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
Understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to collaborate with program management and multi-functional teams.
General knowledge of FAR/DFARS and associated Federal Contracting regulations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem-solving.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with international procurements under US Government prime contracts.
Prior experience with import/export of materials and technology.
Familiarity with SAP procurement systems.
