Job Title: Principal-Level Infrastructure Architect

Location: Hybrid, Candidates must be located in DC, Maryland, Virginia, or West Virginia within a commutable distance to DC or Reston, VA

Duration: 12 months Contract

Project Summary

  • Seeking a Principal Level Infrastructure Architect to support all shared systems/components across business operations including computing, storage and networking in a hybrid cloud and on-prem environment.

Essential Functions

  • Use current state viewpoints to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities (PPOs).
  • Lead advanced modeling and analysis to meet the strategic needs of the organization with respect to the system, information, functional/non-functional needs, performance, and security/regulatory requirements.
  • Create and utilize architecture patterns and ensure alignment with IT strategies and reference architectures.
  • Ensure target state alignment and integration across architecture domains. Ensure upstream alignment/traceability to business needs via business architecture and downstream alignment/traceability with solution building blocks.
  • Leads the extension/enhancement of infrastructure architecture strategies, standards, and guidelines.

Top Five Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of IT Architecture experience
  • Experience supporting an enterprise AWS cloud environment
  • Experience developing target state and transition architecture plans

Nice To Have Skills

  • Prior healthcare experience
  • Professional, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer –
  • Professional, AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty,
  • ITIL 4 Specialist, ITIL 4 Strategist, or similar
