Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. The Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our portfolio credit strategy team. You will help shape credit strategy that will have direct impact to the credit card portfolio. This is an opportunity to join a highly talented and driven team working on solutions to core business problems using cutting-edge analytics.

Ally work locations for this role are Lewisville TX, Wilmington DE, or Charlotte NC. Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 from home office.

The Work Itself

  • Drive credit strategies for existing credit card customers. Strategy treatment areas include Credit Line Increase, Closure, Multicard, Product Upgrades, Balance Build, Purchase Stimulation and Retention
  • Maintain close integration with Acquisition Strategy counterparts to ensure a tight feedback loop across Acquisition and Portfolio Valuations and Strategies.
  • Partner with Decision Science/Modeling partners to influence the statistical model development to be used in portfolio strategies.
  • Advance an integrated test-and-learn agenda in concert with the Marketing functions, that seeks to optimize the outcomes.
  • Develop and implement analytical frameworks to monitor empirical results of various test and roll-out programs.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to drive insights on performance and identify opportunities to optimize the strategy.
  • Manage and update valuation models that estimate the unit economics at a highly granular level. Estimate and frequently update the loss and revenue curves for various segments to continually improve the accuracy of valuations and the associated strategies.

Skills

The Skills You Bring

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a quantitative field required OR Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • High degree of expertise with SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Expertise with Python, Power BI, or other data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of unsecured credit as well as extensive knowledge of financial analysis, effective risk management practices, and analytical methodologies.
  • Experience in financial services or consulting or corporate strategy.
  • The candidate must be extremely comfortable working hands-on with large analytical datasets to perform complex analysis and extract business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and solve problems dynamically.
  • Self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended problems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated structured and critical thinking ability.
