The Role

Amperity's Pricing & Packaging team is looking for a Pricing Analytics & Operations Manager, who will lead our analytical efforts and operational efficiency. This role will be instrumental in the development and execution of pricing strategies while leveraging strong research and data analytics to drive decision-making and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for building a strong infrastructure foundation and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement pricing processes, systems, and tools, and provide actionable insights to drive revenue growth.

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Head of Pricing and Packaging.

Interesting Problems

  • Pricing Research and Analytics
  • Lead pricing analytical efforts to understand usage trends, purchase patterns, customer insights and impact on business performance of pricing changes.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques to forecast pricing impacts and evaluate pricing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Summarize internal and external customer research, surveys and interviews to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Summarize competitive and market analysis to impact ongoing pricing decisions.
  • Pricing Operations and Execution
  • Build a solid data and reporting architecture for scaling pricing decision making. Develop sustainable pricing data tables, models, reporting and analytics tools and resources
  • Oversee pricing processes, systems, and tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Develop regular reporting dashboards to monitor pricing performance metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and identify areas for optimization.
  • Collaborate with Tech and GTM teams to ensure effective execution of pricing strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline pricing operations, address bottlenecks, and drive process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, finance, marketing, Sales Operations and other key stakeholders.
  • Communicate pricing performance to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on pricing analytics and operations, providing guidance and recommendations to support business decisions.


About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in pricing, business strategy, business analysis, marketing, finance, or related analytical roles; 2+ years in a B2B SaaS.
  • Experience conducting market and customer testing, research and analysis.
  • Familiarity with pricing and packaging research techniques such as Conjoint, Van Westendorp, Max Diff etc., and in using survey tools such as Qualtrics.
  • High level of proficiency in SQL, Google worksheet/Excel.
  • Experience using analytics solutions (e.g. Python) and BI solutions (e.g. Tableau, Looker).
  • Experience in building pricing models, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting is a plus, but not required.
  • Proven track record of applying advanced analytics to a variety of business situations with a proven ability to synthesize complex data and present through simple visualization.
  • Experience conducting thorough deep dive analysis to explain the underlying behavior for the observed trends and take required actions.
  • Experience operationalizing pricing changes across Engineering and GTM functions is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels of an organization.

Remote Available

Amperity has offices in Seattle and NYC. We are also currently hiring in CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MN, NJ, NY, OH, OR, TX, WA.

Compensation

Base Salary: $130,000 - $180,000. Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Cash Incentives: Cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity's total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
