Role And Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the pricing strategy and execution within Radian Generation. The Manager of Pricing plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability, and maintaining competitiveness in the market through effective pricing strategies and execution.

Responsibilities Include

  • Develop Pricing Strategy:
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and market positioning. This work involves analyzing market trends, competition, and customer behavior to determine optimal pricing structures.
    • Purposefully target a portfolio mix that aligns with the organization's strategic priorities.
  • Price Setting and Optimization:
    • Set and adjust prices for products or services based on various factors such as internal costs, market demand, and competitive landscape.
    • This work includes conducting pricing experiments, analyzing existing pricing data, and optimizing prices to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market analysis to understand customer needs, preferences, and price sensitivity. This involves monitoring competitors' pricing strategies, identifying market trends, and evaluating the potential impact on pricing decisions.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, finance, and product development to align pricing strategies with overall business goals. This may involve coordinating product launches, promotions, and discount strategies.
  • Price Modeling and Forecasting:
    • Develop pricing models and forecasting techniques to predict the impact of price changes on sales volume, revenue, and profitability. This work includes analyzing historical data, market dynamics, and business trends to inform pricing decisions.
  • Training and Development:
    • Provide training and guidance to sales teams and other relevant stakeholders on pricing strategies, tactics, and tools. Ensure that sales teams understand pricing principles and can effectively communicate value to customers.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with pricing decisions, such as margin erosion or insufficient resourcing for a proper customer experience. Develop contingency plans and strategies to address unexpected market challenges or competitive threats.
Preferred Experience

  • 6+ years of solar / renewable energy experience preferred.
  • Pricing strategy expertise: Demonstrated experience in monetization strategy and pricing/packaging optimization, notably in relation to a services organization and/or a SaaS / Software provider.

Required Qualification & Education

The minimum required qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university.
  • Proven track record of exhibiting an understanding of contracts, contract governance, contractual language, and the contract lifecycle.
  • Experience building advanced models within Excel or experience with alternative modeling software.
